Mason Bay

Overnight trip to Mason Bay on the West Coast with an accompanying guide.

Day 1
Water taxi 45 minutes from Halfmoon Bay to Freshwater Landing. Departure time depends on the time of the tide.

Starting in lush native bush walk across the Island through manuka scrub to Mason Bay.
4 to 5 hours easy walks although it can be muddy and wet. Camp the night at Mason Bay Hut. Kiwi spotting in the evening.

Day 2
Walk from mason Bay to Freshwater Landing in time for the high tide and our water taxi back to Golden Bay

Option - Get dropped off at the whalers base and sea kayak back to Golden Bay.

This package includes return water taxis transfers ex Golden Bay, hut fees and camping equipment, all meals, water taxis, doc concessions and guiding fees. The cost is NZ$375 per person ( child is NZ$275 ) which includes GST. For the sea kayak option add NZ$55 per person. Departures on demand for a minimum of two people.

Kiwi

Pryse Peak Adventure

Water taxi across Paterson Inlet for an adventurous scramble over Pryse Peak with a gourmet lunch on the summit. Walk about 3 hrs. Track can be muddy at times. Moderate Fitness.

Full day trip departing 9.30am and returning to town around 4pm.

NZ$165 per person ( child is NZ$95 ).

Rocky Mountain

Overnight trip to Freshwater Landing to stay the night at Freshwater Hut and climb Rocky Mountain.

Day 1
Water taxi from Golden Bay ( departures time depends on high tide ) to Freshwater Landing (approximately 45 minutes).

Climb Rocky Mountain. Starting in lush native bush power up the side of this granite rock through layers of bush on to the tops. Yes its steep but the view is worth it. Heck you might even discover a new species of gecko!
3 hours hard walk. Rocky Mt is 594 metres.

Camp the night at Freshwater Hut a public Department of Conservation hut. We provide all camping and cooking equipment and sleeping bags. Tents available.

Day 2
Water taxi back to Golden Bay ( depart at high tide )

Includes return water taxis transfers ex Golden Bay, hut fees and camping equipment, all meals, water taxis, doc concessions and guiding fees. Option to sea kayak from Millars Beach.

NZ$345 per person ( child is NZ$245 ). Sea kayak option add NZ$55 per person.
